Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four siblings was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. The parents of Audrey Tautou as a dentist and teacher, were aware of and encouraged their daughter's love for drama and theater at the age of a stage novice. Their support is more than enough for Audrey to thwart her initial goal of becoming a the first primatologist. The rise was swift for her to become an internationally renowned young actress. After completing her studies, she participated in the French show for spotting talent Jeunes Premiers that was sponsored by Canal+. She won the Most Outstanding Young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors and began her career as an actress. Tautou attended church and the Institut Catholique de Paris during her early years, but now dissociates herself from her childhood. She has pursued a modeling career alongside her acting career and is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel is often called the Chanel Muse. She is a keen photographer and created a show at The Arles International Festival titled Superficial. She focuses her photography on celebrity, fame and the media who scrutinized her following her rise to fame as Amelie. Also, she has numerous photographs of her self. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her role debut as Amelie Poulain in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie. Amelie was an international box-office success, and received accolades at awards galas around all over the world. Amelie is the most successful French film of the French language in the US. The popularity of the film led Tautou to a variety of roles, from British dramas such as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
