Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born on November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to score a of 10 in the Olympic event. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci when she was six. Later, she would become Romania's gymnastics coach. Her first competition was in the National Junior Championships where she placed 13th in 1969. In 1970, Comaneci took home the title. At her first international event in 1972 at a pre-Olympic Junior meet for the communist-bloc countries she took home three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974 she became an overall junior champion. At her first competitive event at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva of Russia won five gold medals as well with one silver. The first female to complete the reverse double salo of the uneven parallel bar in the event she won American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager, she began performing in touring shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her career in the entertainment business in her teens. She started her career as a figure skater performing with her sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show called Ice Capades. The shows featured ice skating with theatrical shows.
