Felicity Jones is a native of England and is best known as the actress who appeared as Jane Hawking on the critically-acclaimed film The Theory of Everything. Jones began acting at her 12th birthday and has been in many plays TV shows and films. She began her career as a TV actress on The Treasure Seekers. In the following year she was as a character in The Worst Witch as Ethel Hallow and in Weirdsisters College. Her first film, Flashbacks of a Fool included her in the role of Young Ruth. Since then she has been in a variety of movies. Her acting career gained her fame through films like The Invisible Woman, and The Amazing Spider-Man. The most notable was her performance on The Theory of Everything that earned her the Oscar for the first time. The biopic was inspired by the biography of the physicist Stephen Hawking, and Jones was highly praised by audiences and critics due to her superb portrayal of Hawking's former wife. Inferno was the following film in which she appeared that starred Tom Hanks. It was the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles gave Jones her the British Artist of the Year in 2016 due to her extraordinary ability and contribution to cinema.
